Army of Peace was inspired by Václav Havel’s words: “They had arms. We had the truth.” Spoken during the Velvet Revolution in what was then Czechoslovakia (1989).


Vaclav Havel holds high the peace sign from a Prague Castle balcony on December 29, 1989, the day he was elected President of Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic), after the Velvet Revolution’s nonviolent victory.

Original crown for the Infant Jesus of Prague. Solemn coronation was on April 4, 1655 at Church of Our Lady Victorious (Kostel Panny Marie Vítězné a Pražské Jezulátko), Prague.


Princess Polyxena von Lobkowicz donated her most precious Infant Jesus wax-covered wooden statue to the Discalced Carmelites in 1628.


This devotional, from the original Infant of Prague Novena (nine days of prayer) by Daniel A. Lord, S.J., inspired the song, King of Hearts.
